2009 The Next Level Tri Camp

2009 The Next Level Tri Camp dates are finalized....March 27/28/29, 2009.  A special guest will be joining us for an event in conjunction with the camp, hint: Aussie who has won Kona World Championships. We sold out in 2008, so reserve you slot early with Mark at Precision Bikes or Jared at The Holistic Athlete.

Bringing her "A" Game to IMFLA

Congrats to Angie Fontenot for her outstanding performance at IMFLA!!  11:58 for her first Ironman and exceeding all expectations.  Consistent hard work pays off!!!  Watch out IMCA in 2009!!

The Fastest Couple in Louisiana

Jed and Debbie Darby continue to bring home hardware!!  Jed toughed it out with a knee injury and took home 2nd in AG and Debbie occupied the second step on the podium with 2nd place at the UL Triathlon.

Outstanding job in capping off an oustanding 2008, look out in 2009!!

Pro Champion at Nation's Triathlon

Bill Schultz continued his impressive second half of 2008 after limping through IM New Zealand "one legged" as bagged the overall Pro championship honors at The Nation's Triathlon in Washington, DC.  Bill overcame a diversion on the bike leg that sacked him with a 2 minute penalty to claim the honors.  A bit of re-introduction to the phase "If I am not hurting, then I am not going fast enough!!" carried him through the 2nd half of the run.

Cheers!!

THA Athletes Storm Ironman New Zealand!!

THA Athletes storm Ironman New Zealand!!

THA Atheletes’ Bill and Pete Schultz from Bowie, Maryland had an outstanding day in Taupo for Ironman New Zealand to register their first Ironman finishes.  Bill kicked off the day by giving the world class pro field a 100 meter head start in the swim and ended up towing Cam Brown + Luke Bell to a 47 minute Ironman swim.  Bill overcame a freak injury leading up to the race with a refocused training methodology to address the injury, his 10:26 finish time is truly an amazing feat!!

23 year old Pete executed the perfect race plan and capped off the day with an epic battle to the line with a fellow racer.   23 years old and 10:45 Ironman in super tough conditions...the sky is the limit!!  Watch out for these guys in the next few years, both are super young and full of potential/passion/energy!!

The Shultz brothers based their Ironman training on THA principles that included focused indoor bike sessions, respecting the CNS and specific, individual training for Ironman strength/endurance.

From Bill:

I just competed my first ironman at IM NZ. I have previously raced as a pro triathlete (Olympic distance ITU circuit) and was on the US National team for open water swimming. I have been coached by numerous coaches in my career at the elite level in triathlon and swimming,  I have to say that Jared and The Holistic Athlete Team is absolutely the best coaching program I have ever worked with.

Thank you for providing me with the complex made simple training program, nutritional information, coaching, mentor ship and the tips that I will not mention here that absolutely provided me with a serious competitive advantage.

From Pete:

"What can you say about a coach who prepares you mentally, physically, and emotionally enough for his first Iron Man to complete it in 10:45 feeling stronger finishing at the end of the race than he did starting the race. The training program and mentoring from JQ  gave me more confidence for my first ironman triathlon than I ever had for a sprint I trained for with other coaches. I tell all of my friends, if they are interested in winning or having fun, you better train with THA."

"There is something to say when a week leading up to your first Ironman, you feel like you know all the answers to everyone’s questions whether they are taking on the big race for the first time, or it is there 50th time. The Holistic Athlete training program gave me EVERYTHING I needed to know from the first time I laced up my running shoes to walking across the finish line hearing "You Are An Iron Man!!" Without all of the preparation that THA gave me, I can assure you my experience would have been brutal"

"The best part about training with THA is running by my old coach’s athletes during a race!!"

"As most triathletes know, you race a lot of the same people in a lot of the same races. As soon as I started training with THA, I immediately began to beat all of the athletes that have been faster than me for years. I cannot even begin to thank the guys at THA enough for putting me on a program that has me training more efficiently than ever before and the results can obviously speak for themself!"
